A downloadable Enviroments

For my final year project due to my love of the Star Wars franchise, I wanted to use my skills to create something in homage to that. I have created three differing environments from different pieces of Star Wars history. Firstly I created the Naboo Throne Room which was the most difficult piece of work as I hadn't really done much complex architecture before so it was hard to wrap my head around the modelling side of things. Secondly I created the dark volcanic planet of Mustafar which pushed my skills technically speaking as I wanted to make the lava flow realistically and I had to use a panning node on the lava material combined with mesh distance fields to distort the lava as it flows around rocks and the surface of ash. Finally I created the iconic planet of Tatooine, more specifically the Lars homestead along with the sunset that is seared into any Star Wars Fan's mind I'm sure. This challenged me in a different way than I was used to as I had to create a second sun and also I had to stop the obvious tiling textures on the sand itself which proved difficult so I used the Texture Bomb node within UE4's material editor. Along with all of these environments, I've used a variety of particle systems within Unreal's Cascade editor. These were mainly used for weather systems such as falling ash and sand blowing on Mustafar and Tatooine respectively however they were also used for lava splashes and sparks on Mustafar as well as dust within the air in the Naboo throne room.

Also in efforts to further enhance the Tatooine scene because it looked a little *too* barren, I modelled Luke Skywalker's X-34 Landspeeder. This was the first vehicle I'd ever modelled so I wasn't too sure on some of the workflows however it turned out to fit the Tatooine scene quite well.
